The Class Trip
Summerset seniors have an exciting class trip to New York City.
December 4, 2006
From the introduction, each of the three classes saw six New York City attractions, with each class at a different attraction in the morning and in the afternoon Friday-Sunday; and no two classes visited the same attraction on a single day. By clue 2, each class saw Hairspray at a matinee (afternoon) performance. Then by clue 3, on Friday morning home room 1 was at the Empire State Building, Mr. Scott's home room was at the Statue of Liberty, and the group with Kerrie as tour guide walked down Fifth Avenue. By clue 5, Ms. Walker's class walked down Fifth Avenue on Saturday afternoon; in clue 3, Ms. Walker's class must be home room 1. By clue 5, home room 3 was at the Statue of Liberty Saturday afternoon; in clue 3, they must have Kerrie as their tour guide. By elimination, Mr. Scott is teacher for home room 2. Then Ms. Dailey teaches home room 3. By clue 2, home room 2's trip to Broadway was Saturday afternoon. By clue 4, the day home room 3 was on Fifth Avenue wasn't the day they saw the Hairspray performance; home room 3 was on Broadway Sunday p.m. By elimination, home room 1 enjoyed the musical on Friday afternoon. Since no two classes visited the same attraction on a single day (intro), home room 2 was on Fifth Avenue on Sunday. By clue 1, they were there on Sunday morning, with their tour guide Alex. By elimination, Jeff was the tour guide for home room 1. Home room 1 was at Ground Zero Sunday a.m. and home room 3 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (1). Home room 3 was at the Empire State Building Saturday morning, with home room 2 at Ground Zero at that time.
